A one-person studio that travels light

Roomlight started as a notebook of rooms — the guesthouse in Ostuni with the crooked shutter, the hostel in Porto where everyone ate breakfast standing up. Eight years later it's a journal and a photography practice, run by one person with two cameras and a suitcase of linens.

I work with owners, not marketing departments. That means one point of contact, plain pricing, and photographs that look like the actual place on its best morning.

Questions before you book

Where do you travel?
Portugal, Spain and Italy are covered on full-day bookings. Anywhere else in Europe, travel is quoted at cost — usually €120–€300 including a night's stay.
Who owns the images?
You get a perpetual licence for all marketing, listing platforms, print and press. I keep the right to show the work in the portfolio and journal unless you ask me not to.
Do I need to style the property?
No. Send photos beforehand and I'll send a short prep list. I bring linens, ceramics, glassware and a few props, and style room by room on the day.
What if the weather turns?
Interiors are shot on overcast days without issue. Exteriors and terraces get rescheduled to another morning at no cost within the same trip.
Do you write as well as shoot?
Yes — property descriptions, listing copy and journal features. It's included in the two-day package and quoted separately otherwise.

Still unsure? Send a note — no obligation, and I'll tell you honestly if a shoot isn't what you need.
